Apply for a grant
We award grants to young people who have not yet reached their 26th birthday, and to organisations for young people, in Hitchin and its surrounding rural communities.
Who can apply
Grant aid is available to young people and organisations for young people who have not reached their 26th birthday and who have been resident in the Trust’s operational area for at least 12 months.
Baldock, Letchworth, Royston and Stevenage are specifically excluded. Grant aid is also available for training courses for adult leaders of youth organisations.

Our area is based on the former Hitchin Urban and Rural District Councils and covers the towns and villages below. If you’re unsure whether we cover your address, please contact the office.

Personal grant
Individuals applying for help with a recreational or educational activity.
Bursary
Individuals over 16 applying for help with expenses at university or college. These grants are limited and are not intended to cover items usually covered by student loans.
Primary school trip
Applications are accepted directly from primary schools in our area. Please speak to your child’s school if you wish to apply for help with a residential trip.

Complete the form
Print the form and fill it in by hand, clearly in ink. Answer every question as fully as possible and get it signed.

Scan or post it to us
Scan or photograph your completed form and email it to info@hitchinyouthtrust.co.uk, or post it to Hitchin Youth Trust, 111 Walsworth Road, Hitchin, Herts, SG4 9SP.
Applications are considered on the last Wednesday of each month, except December. Please make sure yours reaches us by the middle of the month, otherwise it will be held over until the following month.
